How visitors may use the public map, public reporting and public asset submissions — and the limits of the service.

Guardian Civic supports discovery and reporting, not live emergency response. Published details can change, and submissions enter review rather than publishing immediately.

Scope of these terms

These terms apply to Guardian Civic public pages, including the public map, public asset and site pages, public reporting flows and public asset submissions.By using those pages you agree to use them lawfully, in good faith, and only for legitimate discovery, reporting or contribution purposes.

Emergency boundary and availability

Guardian Civic helps people discover published public safety assets. It is not an emergency response service and does not replace instructions from emergency services, emergency call handling, or on-site safety procedures.If there is immediate danger, urgent medical need, or any risk to life, contact local emergency services instead of relying on this service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.Where a steward authorises privileged emergency-response disclosure, Guardian Civic may share a bounded asset projection with authorised emergency-response consumers under agreement. That does not make Guardian Civic a dispatch or 000/CAD service, and it does not change what remains publicly discoverable on the map.

Published information can change

Public asset details are published by responsible organisations and can change without notice as visibility, access instructions, maintenance state or verification status change.Treat published information as a helpful guide at the time you view it — not a guarantee that an asset is present, accessible, operational, or suitable for a particular situation.

Acceptable use and user submissions

You must not misuse the public pages, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorised access, submit false or misleading reports, impersonate another person or organisation, or use the service in a way that could harm others or undermine published asset information.If you submit a report or public asset contribution, you are responsible for making sure the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to share it.

How submissions are handled

Reports, submissions and review outcomes may be reviewed, retained and used to support review, verification, operational follow-up, fraud prevention, safety review and auditability across the platform.Submitting information does not guarantee publication, action within a specific timeframe, or any particular review outcome.

Service changes and liability limits

Guardian Civic may update, suspend, restrict or remove public pages or published asset information at any time to maintain service quality, security, legal compliance or review controls.To the fullest extent permitted by law, Guardian Civic disclaims liability for loss or damage arising from use of the public pages, delayed updates, inaccurate third-party information, or temporary unavailability of the service.
